Job Summary:

Urban Engineers, Inc. is seeking an entry level environmental engineer, geologist, or environmental scientist. Candidate will support various environmental projects. This position will consist of approximately 70% office work and 30% field work.

Graduate Engineer Responsibilities:

• Under the supervision of a Professional Engineer:

o Assist in the analysis and interpretation of field results
o Assist in the preparation of environmental permit applications
o Assist in writing environmental report

• Assist in performing field activities such as:

o Oversite of groundwater monitoring well installations and soil borings
o Build material surveys
o Collect soil, groundwater, vapor, surface water, and asbestos samples

• Attend meetings and communicate with clients and contractors

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Civil or Chemical Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field
• Entry Level to 5 years of environmental experience
• Preferred licenses and certs includes: EIT or GIT license and OSHA HAZWOPER 40 hour cert
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required
• AutoCAD experience is preferred
• Must be a self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication
• Limited travel is required including occasional evening or weekend work
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• This position involves carrying equipment and laboratory sampling coolers and occasionally installing soil borings with hand augers
