Kent Companies is looking for an individual to join our accounting department as an accounts receivable specialist. Responsible for performing the daily, weekly and monthly processes necessary to ensure all customer invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure timely entry and mailing of invoices to customers.
- Maintain list of draw request due dates and make sure they are submitted on time.
- Record daily cash receipts from customers.
- Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits.
- Generate financial reports detailing account receivable status.
- Coordinate with Kent Companies management and project managers on a daily basis, and other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Must be a team player and have a positive attitude towards coworkers.
- Proficient in the use of spreadsheets, accounting software and ERP systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel and Word
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with AIA invoicing and sales tax is preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 5 years of Construction A/R billing experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge in lien waivers (conditionals & unconditionals) and contract review.

- Typical work hours around 45 hours per week
