Summary of Position:

The Quality Control Manager by ensuring that work performed at job sites is in compliance with contract documents and that the work meets the quality standards set forth in the plans and specifications.  Responsible for inspecting assigned construction sites to ensure that work performed is in compliance with the contract documents and that the standards of quality construction are met and preclude problems resulting from poor quality.  Follows established procedures to manage and control our own work force and our subcontractor and supplier activities to ensure that the completed work complies with the contract documents.  Documents all required items to record and report accurate records.  Attend and coordinate jobsite meetings to understand the project status.     

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA from an accredited college or university in Construction Management, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Architecture, Building Construction or Building Science.
  • Must be able to gain access to a military base
  • Experience in managing large complex projects with multiple sites in excess of $75M
  • 10 years of experience as a Project Superintendent, Quality Control Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, Construction Manager with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Quality Control Manager.
  • Familiarity with requirements of EM 385-11 and have experience in the area of hazard identification, safety compliance and sustainability.
  • Knowledge of general management, documentation skills and a thorough knowledge of construction processes, industry codes and standards, and inspection and testing procedures are required.
  • Familiarity with requirements of drawings and specifications and with terms and conditions of Project Contracts, Subcontracts and Purchase Orders with strong ability to read drawings and specifications
  • The Quality Control Manager must be physically able to access the job site, climb ladders, and to work around equipment and workers in a safe manner.
  • OSHA 10 certified
  • First Aid/CPR certified
