Soil-tek is an erosion control contractor, headquartered in Grimes, Iowa.  We are looking for environmental professionals to join our Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) Management Services department. 

SWPPP Inspectors perform thorough field inspections to ensure compliance in accordance with the NPDES General Permit and issue reports from the information gathered on job sites.

Job Duties:

Conducts daily inspections of job sites safely to ensure compliance in accordance with storm water regulations. 

Follows procedural and protocol systems in place to ensure accuracy, efficiency and quality of reports generated in the field.  Communicates with Project Managers on field issues and to turn in work orders for future work.    

Skills/Qualifications: 

Communication, Problem Solving, Decision-Making, Organization, Competence, Process Improvement, Integrity, Enthusiasm, Computer Skills, Report Writing, Attention to Detail.  

Experience in stormwater inspections and/or construction is preferred, but not required. 

Must have valid drivers license and maintain clean driving record.

Ability to continuously walk construction sites, for long periods, in all weather conditions

Physically able to lift 50 pounds consistently.

Must be willing to travel 1-2 days per week as required

Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen
