Summary

In Dallas, Texas, Balfour Beatty is currently seeking a Group Internal Audit Manager to join our Internal Audit team! The Group Internal Audit Manager managing and delivering risk-based audits across the business. This role will be responsible for providing objective, independent assessment and assurance of the adequacy of systems and controls to mitigate business risk. 

Essential Functions

  • Review costs and revenues by contractors/subcontractors and customers.
  • Recognize revenue sources and liabilities using work-in-progress methodology.
  • Report meaningful, value-adding reports of business activities, including suggesting processes and procedural improvements and identifying good practices to be shared across the group.
  • End-to-end planning, scoping, and delivery of audits through reporting and follow-up.
  • Draft working papers, including audit reports and project risk and control matrices.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a Business-related discipline. 
  • Two or more years of auditing experience in the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with Primavera project management software; experience working with subcontractor management processes and contracts.
  • Understanding of the project planning, contract planning, and project management phases of a construction project.
  • Ability to interpret and understand construction contracts as it relates to internal controls and systems (e.g. accounting, labor, timekeeping and purchasing systems, etc.)
  • Ability to audit construction related contracts for compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Semi-frequent (40%) travel to work sites around the US.
