Plibrico is a leading manufacturer and installer of superior aluminosilicate and high alumina monolithic refractories used in a variety of demanding thermal applications. For almost a century, Plibrico has focused on the research and development of complete turnkey refractory solutions. We are seeking to hire a Human Resources Generalist, someone who can make a direct impact within our company.

HR Generalist Summary

The HR Generalist is responsible for providing continuous and professional HR support across all locations of the Plibrico Company LLC. This position includes activities related to functional areas such as benefit administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, and full-cycle recruitment.

HR Generalist Responsibilities

  • Completes HR transactions for employee movement (new hire, termination, position change, promotion, pay change, etc.).
  • Organize and manage new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training programs
  • Administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Explain and provide information on employee benefits, programs, and education. May also advise on benefits needs or evaluate benefit contract bids.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment where HR responsibilities are distributed across multiple locations and shared responsibilities exist.
  • Communicate, interpret, and administer all HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Assist with payroll administration and time off management.
  • Must have a “people-focused” mentality to excite and engage employees.
  • Maintains awareness and knowledge of HR laws and company policies and procedures.
  • Remains current on federal, state, case law changes that affect HR.
  • Champion change and support an environment centered on people and operational excellence.
  • Provide high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues.
  • Is a steward of Plibrico’s Purpose, Mission, Vision, and Core Values and an advocate of the Plibrico brand.
  • Other duties as assigned.

HR Generalist Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business, or a related field, and a minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience required (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Possesses superb written and spoken communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive, moderately complex and confidential information.
  • Effective conflict management skills.
  • Flexibility, good judgment, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer programs including Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel.
