Information Technology Technician:

 

The Information Technology Technician is a multi-role position that assists the Lead IT Specialist and provides technical support to all Multi-Craft Contractors’ offices and employees throughout the Northwest Arkansas region.

The IT Specialist coordinates activities with the Lead IT Technician. Responsibilities include monitoring and basic troubleshooting of network connections on the Springdale, AR Campus and remote locations, performance and availability of hardware and software, and first line IT helpdesk assistance.

This is a full-time position, on site at our Springdale, AR location. 

 

Primary job functions:

  • Troubleshooting basic hardware and software errors and issues on employee computers
  • Responding to IT tickets, emails, calls, and walk-ins from employees
  • Deploying images, performing upgrades, and loading software for employees and new or rebuilt computers
  • Providing basic individual education and instruction for software and email usage on company devices including desktop computers, tablets, and cellular devices
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records on IT assets
  • Cleaning and servicing electronic equipment
  • Running wiring and making connections for IT assets
  • Assisting with various IT projects as needed
  • Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience supporting, maintaining and managing Microsoft and Windows based technology
  • Experience with PC hardware technologies and able to perform desktop level support
  • Entry level knowledge of modern versions of Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat/Reader
  • Understanding of basic networking and domain principles and troubleshooting
  • Excellent communication skills, time management skills, and the ability to balance and prioritize multiple issues
