Facility Maintenance Worker

 

Responsibilities:

  • General building maintenance
  • Willing to work with chemicals, electrical panels, forklift, scissor lift
  • Replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment
  • Performs work according to standard procedure and by building's operational schedule
  • Cleans rooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, stairways, and windows
  • Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, doors, and sills
  • Performs touch up and finish painting
  • Picks up and delivers supplies and materials to rooms
  • Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures
  • Reports work accomplished orally or on written work order to the supervisor
  • Participates in general cleaning, painting, and repair work
  • Uses hand tools and power tools in making minor maintenance repairs and maintaining grounds and walks
  • Required to render moderate to heavy assistance at times to other buildings operations
  • Work would include snow removal around facilities, storm cleanup, painting, utility work, and assisting journeyman level employees in completing maintenance projects
  • Operates light automotive equipment and power tools

 

Requirements:

  • High School diploma, GED certification or equivalent is required
  • Good Communicator
  • Hard worker
  • Ability to work independently without normal
  • Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc.
  • Technical Practices
  • Use of Measuring Instruments
  • Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc.
  • Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
  • Two years of experience in general maintenance or constructions required
  • Additional equivalent technical/trade school courses in a maintenance or construction related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis
  • Knowledge of building construction and the operation of building systems is preferred
  • A valid driver's license is required
  • This position requires access to technology, material, software or hardware that is controlled by export laws of the US. In order to be eligible, you must be either a US citizen or permanent resident.
