Job Summary: The Industrial Engineer is responsible for implementing industrial and manufacturing engineering work with LEAN manufacturing principles. The Industrial Engineer provides daily support to the production floor to ensure safety, quality and delivery. They create standard work process, identify and improve waste systematically, and lead the efforts with production, safety, quality. This position supports manufacturing by measuring results to reach department and company goals.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Work with shop floor employees to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop processes to improve flow in manufacturing
  • Work with Focus Factory management to implement and complete cost saving projects
  • Research equipment related to capital improvements
  • Create standard processes
  • Control of manpower, direct and indirect
  • Implement LEAN manufacturing methodology in process
  • Ensure adherence to established company policy and process, being an advocate for change and innovation to continuously improve

Required and Preferred Qualifications: Technical degree required in such disciplines as Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, plus 3 to 8 years manufacturing experience. Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, 3D design software (NX, Inventor, SOLIDWORKS, etc.), database software, and simulation software is a plus.
