Join our team of Toilet Geniuses! Lavelle Industries is a leading rubber and plastics manufacturer for the plumbing industry. We have a full-time press operating position available in our Burlington facility. This position might be the right fit for you if you enjoy physically demanding work, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy working in a typical factory setting. As a Conventional Press Operator you will be responsible for the setup and operation of heavy duty rubber molding machines and other equipment.
What will you be doing?
- Setting up and running machines while making quality products and meeting quantity targets.
- Loading molds, unloading molds, and handling material from presses manually.
- Performing minor servicing of the press: demolding parts, spraying mold, and removal of stuck parts.
- Recording and submitting accurate data on quality, work records, etc.
- Contributing to our safe environment by following safety procedures and making suggestions.
- Engaging in continuous learning to keep our processes up to date and efficient. This includes cross training to gain skills in other departments, as well as training others within your work area.
Position Skills Requirements:
- Ability to comprehend and use measuring devices.
- Ability to perform the job and meet production and quality targets on a consistently.
- Ability to think critically and independently.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:
- Ability to lift 60 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time in a manufacturing environment.
- Normal factory environment with exposure to dust, noise, and temperature variations.
