- Providing design and engineering to help solve or develop security solutions to difficult problems
Position Summary:
We are currently looking for a CAD/BIM Technician. Come join our team of professionals who are passionate about exciting projects, quality work and technical excellence. The CAD/BIM Technician will coordinate and generate fully detailed drawings with the Project Engineer and other team members. This position reports directly to the Project Engineer.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed drawings and models using CAD and BIM software
- Ensure drawings and models align with the standards and goals set in BIM and CAD execution plans and project workflow criteria
- Work directly with the Project Engineer to interpret drawing markups for development or revision of the product
- Communicate and collaborate internally and/or externally with other disciplines for design and model changes
- Self-check created drawings, sketches, and related data to proactively identify factors that may negatively affect final product
- Develop accurate construction drawings and extracts based on the CAD or BIM data.
- Perform routine assignments requiring a thorough knowledge of computer aided drafting and building information model standards, practices and techniques
- Utilize knowledge of mathematics in the preparation of drawings
- Review contract documents to determine critical elements of the design
Essential Requirements:
- Proficient in drafting and design in AutoCAD 2D & 3D
- Proficient in Autodesk Revit
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
- Procore experience a plus
