Job Summary

Operates block production machinery and performs other tasks required to operate concrete block manufacturing plant.

• Manually lift and carry blocks to and from pallets and burnish boards and other plant locations, keeping pace with production line.
• Loads specified amounts of ingredients into bins or hoppers.
• Adjusts machine controls to proper settings.
• Monitors machine operations to ensure that quality and efficiency standards are met.
• Performs block production machinery cleaning and maintenance.
• Changes molds as needed to produce different types of blocks in quantities needed.
• Troubleshoots block production machinery and performs basic repairs.
• Performs proper housekeeping tasks throughout the work shift.
• Operates burnish machine to produce burnished block.
• Performs all other tasks needed to optimize plant block production.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• One to three months related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to operate front end loader, and use basic hand tools. \
• Driver’s license preferred.
