Position:  Peer Support Case Manager
Location:  Dallas-Fort Worth, TX

Rate of Pay:  $45,000

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  The Peer Support Case Manager will utilize his or her personal experience as a tool in providing support to consumers in need of services.  The Peer Support Case Manager will work directly with the Counselors, Program Director and the clients in delivering supportive services.  The role of the Peer Support Case Manager is varied and can take on several forms of support and assistance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides Peer Support Groups.
  • Provides resource distribution opportunities for peer networking.
  • Provides advocacy to other Veteran’s services.
  • Promotes agency philosophy within the community.
  • Assists and advocates for clients in need Community Services.
  • Provides referrals for needed services.
  • Assures all paperwork that is mandatory to funders and agency is provided
  • Promotes an organizational culture that fosters passion for the mission, cooperation, open and frequent communication, teamwork, and is in alignment with the organizational vision.
  • Attends all required meetings and training.
  • Requires regular attendance and punctuality during the scheduled shift to perform the above essential functions.
  • Performs other duties and special assignments as directed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related Social Services field.  Additional education requirements follow the guidelines for the Certified Peer Support Case Manager.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License, clear MVR and ability to be insured.
  • Must complete all requisite training in accordance with the Texas Veteran Commission and Volunteers of America Texas, if applicable.
  • Veteran's preferred.
