Home Health Aides provide personal care services to assist clients toward independent living in a safe and comfortable environment.
Your contributions:
- Performs only those personal care activities contained in a written assignment by a qualified health professional employee, which shall include but shall not be limited to assisting the client with personal hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing and shaving
- Ensures that the client receives adequate nutrition including preparing the client for meals and assisting the client as necessary. Encourages and offers fluids to provide adequate oral intake
- Performs light housekeeping tasks such as laundering of the clients’ personal garments, dish washing and vacuuming
- Provides escort services such as transporting the client to the doctor or other appointments
Your background includes:
- Florida State Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide Certification (required)
- Valid Driver's License (required)
- Basic math skills are required. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Previous experience in home health, hospital, or nursing home preferred
