VASCOR Transport is a wholly owned, asset-based trucking operation that currently consists of over 125 drivers and over 100 tractors with operations throughout the eastern half of the United States. VASCOR Transport provides trucking services with a primary focus on dedicated contract carriage (DCC); as well as transactional moves that require specific timing, specialized equipment or other value-added components.

Position Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring professional and courteous dispatch communications with Drivers and Customers
  • Responsible for day-to-day management of the drivers assigned. Which includes but is not limited to collecting necessary paperwork from driver to ensure day is complete; ensure HOS and all other safety functions for drivers are managed
  • Responsible for driver retention
  • Responsible for coaching drivers to ensure improved Netradyne scores.
  • Establish and support drivers on a personal and professional level with collaborative effort from all department to solve their problems.
  • Responsible for front line customer engagement experience. Which includes but is not limited to troubleshooting and problem solving regarding escalated issues associated with delays, inability to meet deadlines, breakdowns and accidents
  • Responsible for the pick-up and delivery of all freight in the most cost-efficient manner
  • Responsible for the monitoring, coordination and dispatch of routes via onboard computer in order to coordinate service and schedules
  • Responsible for the monitoring and documentation of late routes, updating the late boards and professional and timely communication to the appropriate customer as well as the ASM of a late driver
  • Responsible for promptly responding to escalated customer calls regarding delivery concerns
  • Responsible for timely documentation and reporting of incidents and accidents in order to achieve FMCSA score goals. Must coordinate with Safety department on all incident and accident procedures
  • Responsible for the completion of an e-mail shift summary
  • Works as an effective team member, liaising with others and contributing to our overall customer experience
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Skills and Experience

Education

  • Minimum of High School diploma or GED and 2-5 years’ experience in the field                                  

Skills          

  • Demonstrate organizational & verbal communication and presentation skills;
  • Ability to prioritize workflow and ability to handle multiple, competing and changing priorities; ability to perform effectively with supervision and within established time limits and ongoing deadlines
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally, and provide exceptional client service, both internally and externally at all times.
