Job Summary

This position will perform daily maintenance, preventative maintenance and general clean-up in and around the plant. Operate Heavy equipment when necessary. 

  • Operate front-end loader for yard cleanup, loading vehicles, or the plant and load dump truck with aggregate material.
  • Repair equipment when necessary.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance such as oiling, greasing, and changing filters. 
  • Perform emergency maintenance and troubleshooting when necessary such as welding replacing parts, hoses and filters.
  • Perform general cleanup of equipment and yard, such as shoveling and sweeping.
  • Comply with all safety procedures, promotion of company safety program.
  • Complete all paperwork required by employer. Examples: Daily inspection report, fuel usage, daily production report.
  • Compliance and support of company environmental policies and company spill response plans. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent GED required.
  • Technical knowledge and skills equivalent to a 2 year vocational technical degrees
  • Welding, electrical and mechanical experience in an industrial environment.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in maintenance of heavy equipment and other miscellaneous equipment. 
  • Must have current CDL & DOT Med card
  • Operators are responsible for owning and maintaining hand tools used for maintenance
  • Attend an annual 8 hour MSHA refresher course.
  • New employees must complete 24 hours of new miner training.
  • New employees with mining experience more than two years prior to hire, must complete 12 hours of experienced miner training.
