Assistant Transmission Project Manager - ULCS Region 101

 

Job Description

We are currently seeking an Assistant Transmission Project Manager to join the Project Management team at Utility Lines Construction Services, Inc.

 

Utility Lines Construction Services, Inc. (ULCS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Asplundh Company.  ULCS is an Electrical Utility Contractor that performs Transmission, Substation and Foundation construction. Our crews perform work from North Carolina to Delaware.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 3 years of experience working in transmission construction. Compensation is based upon experience. Some travel is required.

 

Essential Duties

Assist the Project Managers with the following:

  • Manage project implementation including project schedule, project budget and the project resources including external vendors and contractors.
  • Review and understand drawings.
  • Ensure resources such as material and equipment arrive at the job site.
  • Keep in constant contact with the customer.
  • Responsible for project tracking.
  • Attend pre-bid construction meetings.
  • Assist with project estimating and bidding.
  • Report regularly on progress, cost and schedule metrics, procurement issues, safety or environmental concerns, design questions, potential impacts, and any issues requiring office support.
  • In charge of subcontractor agreements and Miss Utility tickets.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Senior Project Manager.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have at least 1- 3 years of experience in construction.
  • Familiar with project estimating.
  • Must be able to wear PPE as necessary.
  • Must have knowledge in Word, Outlook and Excel and Microsoft Projects.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s license.
  • Must pass pre- employment drug screening, MVR, and Background screening.
