The Distribution Center positions are responsible for ensuring that material is readily available to send to branches. These positions must accurately and safely receive and store materials, maintain good housekeeping, as well as picking and packing orders for pickup and delivery to branches, ensuring Coburn’s exceptional standard of customer service. DC workers and drivers must also follow all company policies, procedures and Distribution Center Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs.; must have physical mobility and dexterity to frequently stand, bend, push, twist, kneel, climb, squat, stoop, and reach overhead. Routinely drives/operates forklifts; works with tools, and equipment. Considerable mental/visual concentration, coordinating manual dexterity with mental/visual attention. Construction and Warehouse environment with variable but moderately high noise levels. Must wear closed-toe shoes, gloves, and other protective items as required. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions. A consistent presence at work is required.
Must pass company required drug screen and physical.

Non-CDL Drivers: Drivers of vehicles that are transporting material intrastate[1], with a GVWR of 26,000 pounds or less are required to be a minimum age of 21 years old and licensed as follows:
Texas– personal driver’s license.
Mississippi & Tennessee- Class D license
Louisiana – Chauffer’s license (Class D) with medical card.
CDL Drivers: A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required for drivers who operate vehicles that cross the state line (interstate) in a company-owned vehicle, or who operate vehicles with a GVWR of 26,001 pounds or more. CDL drivers must be a minimum age of 25 years old.
In order to operate a forklift, the operator must be a minimum age of 18 years old and successfully complete Coburn’s Forklift Operator Certification.
