Summary

The Senior Director of Sales and Marketing is a key position within FST’s leadership team.  This role is both supervisory and revenue-generating in nature.  The person in this position must be able to see the big picture and think strategically, as well as roll up their sleeves to complete the work and execute.  This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). 

In this position you will enjoy the freedom of working from your home office and travel as required. The selected candidate will reside in the United States and have the legal right to work without visa sponsorship.    

Responsibilities

  • Execute overall sales strategy for the company, including both the FST (semiconductor) division and the AMA (life sciences) division
  • Create an annual sales plan and budget, with the primary objective to grow profitable revenue by 15-20% annually
  • Drive sales within assigned target account territory
  • Meets or exceeds annual individual sales goals and objectives, and leads the entire sales team to achieve the company’s goal
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the sales organization to ensure the highest possible level of sales growth and customer satisfaction. Directly manage 2 full-time field sales people, 1 full-time inside sales person, 3 blended sales/operations team members, and a director of marketing holding each accountable to key performance metrics
  • Ensure Zoho CRM is being used effectively and efficiently to provide visibility into the sales pipeline
  • Drive sales process within the sales team
  • Collaborate with sales team on breaking into new accounts and expanding existing accounts
  • Collaborate with the Director, Marketing on setting marketing strategy and executing

Qualifications

  • 10-15 years of direct sales experience of technical services in the Life Sciences (biotech, pharma, medical device, etc.) or Semiconductor industries.
  • 5+ years of leading a sales team with demonstrated ability to build a high-performing sales organization.
  • Proven track record of growing sales into new accounts
  • Excellent sales coaching skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills; comfortable using data to drive decisions
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting and experience in working with finance team to drive desired corporate results
