Reports to: Client Service Manager
Position Purpose: Trans Ova Genetics offers a summer internship program that is designed to give students who have a passion for serving clients in the bovine reproductive industry a real-world experience in the area of reproductive technologies. This position will assist client service representatives meet the needs of the TX Center’s clientele by communicating with clients via phone, e-mail, and in person. This position will interface with technical teams as well as CSR’s from other centers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide world class client service to both internal and external clients.
- Assist CSR’s with placing clients’ orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist with data entry and filing.
- Assist with scheduling of IVF, ET, and Sorting Procedures.
- Contact clients concerning semen and embryo inventories.
- Successfully complete a project and presentation on a topic related to reproduction.
- Maintain a professional image reflective of Trans Ova’s industry position.
- Follow Trans Ova’s policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education Requirements:
Students must have completed their sophomore year of undergraduate studies in Animal Science/Biotechnology or a related degree. It is preferred that students have already completed a course in reproduction.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
Environment will vary from office setting, on-farm visits, production sales, and educational seminars. Ability to sit at desk for long periods of time and carry on conversations with clients concerning their account.
Other Skills / Experience:
Knowledge of the bovine industry and bovine reproduction highly desired.
Proficiency with a computer including Excel, Power Point and Word.
High degree of professionalism is required.
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
Strong client focus, both on the phone/computer and face-to-face.
Comfort speaking with new people and a desire to interface with leaders in the livestock industry.
