Position Responsibilities:

• Fills customer orders by: picking lines using RF scanner, ensuring accuracy by scanning address and product bar codes; packing product into a carton or onto a pallet to provide damage-free shipment; verifying proper packing and documentation of hazardous material using the Hazardous Materials on Order report; and staging pallets and loose cartons on the dock in an organized manner.
• Accurately completes paperwork by signing off zone assignments on the Wave Sheet and Load Sheet, and by documenting all loose pieces and hazardous material on the Load Sheet.
• Assists coworkers in moving awkward or heavy product.
• Resolves problems or issues by working cooperatively and professionally with coworkers and supervisors.
• Maintains and exceeds department standards for accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintains proficient level of skill in dock, stocking, and replenishment for purposes of fill in when needed.
• Maintains a safe work environment by working in a safe manner, following current Distribution safety rules, maintaining equipment, and maintaining a clean work area where cardboard, paper, and plastic debris are disposed of properly.
• Performs other duties as requested by Supervisor or Shipping Lead.

Position Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Ability to attend to details.
• Ability to get along with others in the workplace.
• Ability to complete routine paperwork.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand and walk on a concrete floor through a warehouse for the majority of the workday.
• The employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and lift up to 50 pounds. 
• The individual is occasionally required to talk or hear; taste or smell; and lift up to 70 pounds.  Special vision requirements are distance vision; peripheral vision, and color vision.
• Large warehouse with racks and bins, most work is performed using pallet jacks, and RF scanner. Climate can be warm or cool depending on the season, but not extremely hot or cold.
