Apex Mills, a U.S. based specialty fabric and textile manufacturer, is hiring an Order Entry/Customer Sales Support Coordinator in our Western Nassau County (Long Island) corporate office. We are located within walking distance of the LIRR (45 minutes from Manhattan).

As our new Sales Support Coordinator, you will support the sales team by providing superior customer support and detailed/complex order entry. You will take ownership of these orders and follow them closely, making sure that all milestones are met. You will communicate regularly, often via email, as the liaison between the sales team, manufacturing and production, and the customer. You will help increase sales by developing strong customer relationships and managing customer requests. You will be an integral part of our success, and your hard work will be recognized.  

More specifically, you will:

  • Enter customer orders into the CRM and send acknowledgments and supporting documents.
  • Become a CRM expert: modifying, importing, and exporting orders and other data from system.
  • Research stock availability and lead time to produce orders to ensure the customer is given timely and accurate information.
  • Set clear customer expectations by following up with production and providing customers with updates on order status.
  • Track orders from initial entry to actual shipment and receipt, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Resolve any problems by clarifying the customer's concern, determining the cause, suggesting the best solution, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure satisfactory resolution.

You will also:

  • Prepare and send fabric samples to customers.
  • Collect appropriate feedback from customers to assist in closing sales.
  • Assist with answering incoming sales phone calls.

Our ideal candidate will have: 

  • Strong order entry skills and previous work experience entering complex orders.
  • Superior customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills and the ability to build rapport with clients by anticipating their needs.
  • Working proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Previous order entry experience into a CRM or ERP system. Syteline preferred.
