We are currently seeking a Full-Time A/R Coating Tech I for our fast-paced Optical Lab located in Brooklyn Park, MN. This is an excellent opportunity to join our TEAM…We are the #1 independent optical wholesaler in America!

This is a 3rd Shift Job Position. The hours Tuesday through Saturday midnight to 8:00 AM

Job Summary

Perform all aspects of the A/R Coating process. This process applies Anti-Reflective coating to ophthalmic lenses. Employee is responsible for the quality of the work performed and is expected to know the quality and safety requirements for every operation that they perform.

Duties:

  • Inspect, rack and make lenses ready for coating
  • Load racks into dip coating machine
  • Prepare all solutions for the coating process & assure daily supplies are stocked
  • Sandblast A/R Coater parts
  • Perform maintenance on production equipment
  • Sort incoming work by date, material and process
  • Perform other duties as needed

Experience/Qualifications

  • High School diploma, GED or Equivalent
  • Prior optical experience a plus, but not required
  • Must be highly detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude helpful
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
