Job Description:  The HVAC Mechanic-Boiler Tech will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems in commercial or public buildings.

Job Duties:

The Technician reads blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of HVAC systems, water and duct systems. The technician will install, replace  and service HVAC systems, components and controls. These piping systems may be used to transport water, gases or hot liquids.  HVAC Techs work with other trades and laborers to ensure that all specifications, legislation and policies are met, and to ensure efficient completion of any project. Providing adequate services will ensure that all HVAC systems are installed, repaired and maintained to meet all standards of building codes and safety.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of service experience in basic piping skills .
  • Knowledge of setting up large and small HP burners for proper CO
  • Ability to use combustion analyzers
  • Set up duel fuel burners ( Oil to gas ) (gas to oil)
  • Perform boiler PM & Annual maintenance on all various commercial boilers.
  • Set gas pressures on regulators & test gas appliances at full load conditions.
  • Work on & comprehend different domestic hot water mixing valves.
  • Understand hot water systems & piping schemes (primary & secondary pumping systems).
  • Must have a valid driver's license and good communications skills are required.
  • Be self-starter, team player, and possess great customer service skills.
  • Overtime may be necessary, must be willing to be on call, must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a clean driving record.
