We are hiring for two Moldmaker Apprentice positions in our Cedar Rapids, IA Facility. 

The Moldmaker Apprentice position uses appropriate equipment such as a surface grinder, manual mill, drill press, spotting press, and other equipment; as well as precision hand tools to create and make tooling to match part drawings.

They will learn to effectively perform bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies, using hand tools and electronic and pneumatic tooling; as well as welding.

Reading and following blueprints are just one of the many skills they will need to use!

Job Requirements for this position are:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Willingness and ability to learn
  • Solid understanding of basic math
  • Prompt reliability
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Must pass a basic aptitude test

Previous experience mechanically, industrial or welding a plus!!

Successful candidates will be able to operate in a team environment, possess excellent communication, problem solving, attention to detail and troubleshooting skills. Candidates will take a basic aptitude test as part of the screening process.
