Job Description


 

This role includes setting up the forms in which concrete is poured to create walkways, walls, pillars and other structures. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Introduce rebar or wire mesh to reinforce the material

  • Use trowels and other tools to spread and smooth concrete, and mold expansion joins and edges.

  • Because curing time can vary by temperature, wind and other environmental factors, this person must monitor the material to ensure it hardens to a durable finish.

  • Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surface of concrete, and waterproof or restore surface.

  • Cut out damaged areas, drill holes for reinforcing rods, and position reinforcing rods to repair concrete, using power saw and drill.
  • Loads, transports, and unloads tools, equipment, and supplies required for each project
  • Perform minor maintenance and cleaning activities with tools and equipment
  • Responsible for observing and complying with all safety policies and guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned
