We are currently seeking an Import Production Coordinator to join our team of outstanding employees!

JOB DESCRIPTION

The International Import Logistics Coordinator ensures accurate and timely domestic blanks pickups, crossing of blanks in to Mexico as well as transportation of FG from Mexican factories to 3PL in the US. This role is accountable for all documentation related to Mexico and domestic shipments.  Works closely with 3PL warehouses, customs brokers and carriers and is the main point of contact to solve related issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least two (2) years of international import logistics experience, preferably in an apparel manufacturing/distribution environment
  • Superior English/Spanish verbal, written, and telephone communication skills
  • Critical thinking: ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines
  • Ability to make solid and efficient decisions both on the spot and as a result of detailed analysis/research
  • Knowledge of licensed apparel/accessory products is helpful
  • Knowledge of US-MX border crossing operations is desirable
  • Capacity to work independently or within a team environment, follow direction, trouble shoot and meet individual and business goals and objectives
  • Technical Skills: PO Management platforms, Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Microsoft 360

ESSENTIAL DUTIES INLCUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO

  • Source and manage relationships with brokers and vendors (customs, transportation, factories, blanks)
  • Oversees the accuracy of domestic blanks pickups; crossing blanks to Mexico as well as transportation of FG from Mexican factories to 3PL in Laredo, TX
  • Continuously audits processes, verifies and resolves any issues regarding blanks and FG coming from Mexican factories
  • Prepares international documentation, works closely with the interested parties to ensure compliance with U.S. and Mexican customs regulations
  • Updates tracking logs and remedies issues (delayed deliveries, shortages/overages loss/damage of product, customs and other logistics related concerns)
  • Provides relevant information to Production/AEs/Shipping when needed (i.e. delivery date, estimated freight cost, ETD/ETA, potential threats to our operations, etc.)
  • Works closely with our India team to coordinate the execution of daily tasks
  • Responsible for the coordination of drop shipments for major customer accounts such as Old Navy and GAP.
  • Lead and execute special projects and other duties and functions as required by our business needs
  • Bilingual in Spanish; speaking, reading and writing

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

Associate Degree or four years relative International Logistics Experience in lieu of Degree

BUSINESS HOURS

Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 5:300pm, or as needed to meet business goals and objectives
