JOB SUMMARY:

Position will be capable of performing all functions and responsibilities within the Shipping Department. Individual will have a core responsibility and ability to complete all other Shipping Department Functions including, but not limited to: Shipper, Receiver, Puller, Line Puller, UPS, Painter, Material Handler and Shipping Clerk duties.

JOB DUTIES:

1. Read and understand prints and other customer specifications.
2. Read and interpret complex oral, written, or visual instruction.
3. Detect and report any questionable materials or irregularities.
4. Follow procedures in routine warehouse duties to store and prepare stock or special products for shipment. Put product away in warehouse.
5. Familiar with Van Gorp products and nomenclature.
6. Perform various operations to apply protective wrappings and pack for shipment.
7. Must use computer for various functions.
8. Receive materials and check computer for P.O. and deliver to proper location.
9. Familiar with all necessary paperwork including bills of lading, load parcels, and packing lists. Must be able to enter receipts into computer to generate paperwork for pick tickets, bill of lading and Canadian customs invoicing.
10. Acquainted with painting requirements set up and operate paint gun.
11. Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required per the P.M. charts.
12. Load and unload trailer and flat bed trucks using fork lift.
13. Other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Knowledge of computer.
3. Capable of lifting and/or moving up to 60 pounds.
4. Capable of being on one’s feet for up to ten hours per shift.
5. Position requires a fork lift operator’s license.
6. Ability to read and effectively use all gauging and instrumentation.
7. Ability to prioritize work assignments.
8. Adhere to ISO 9001 Standards.
