Johnson Carlier Construction, a Big-D Company, has an opportunity for a Project Coordinator to join our team of construction professionals based in the Phoenix, AZ area. This position is responsible for supporting the project team in performing file management, document review and tracking, report preparation, and other related activities.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Contract administration, working with estimating and project management in creating and issuing contract and purchase orders for the project
- Help to ensure that project contracts, bids and governmental development applications are completed and filed on time
- Assisting the project management team with document control needs and change orders
- Participating in meetings, taking and publishing minutes
- Organizes and prepares documents and reports for the Project Manager
- Manages risk by proactively gather and track insurance and licensing requirements for subcontractors and vendors
- Interacts with clients, vendors and staff in a professional, courteous and appropriate manner
- Familiar with State Construction Registry requirements and lien procedures
- Review and verify lien releases for all vendors
- Process project close out documents (O&M manuals, etc.)
- AR/AP for Subcontractors- Track, manage, and process purchase orders and invoices
- Provide various administrative support to a project team
Requirements:
- 3-4 years of construction experience as a Project Administrator / Coordinator
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in Word and Excel, including working with pictures, graphs, etc.
- Clear written and verbal communications
- Organize and write procedures in a logical/methodical manner
- AP/AR Experience
- Good time management and multitasking skills
