Job Title:  Commissioning Engineer/Field Technician

Location:  Sussex, WI

 

Commissioning Engineers at Dynamic Ratings provide high quality, customer-oriented field service for our transformer monitoring, control and communications solutions. These solutions extend the life of power transformers, generators, motors, circuit breakers, switchgear, and cables while improving workforce and public safety.

Key responsibilities:  

  • Hands-on installation, commissioning and maintenance of control systems
  • Creating pre-construction drawings
  • Ensuring installations meet customer expectations
  • Providing customer feedback to the Production and Development teams
  • Modifying software configuration for proper product operation   

Qualifications:   

  • Associate degree/Technical Diploma in Utilities Engineering Technology, Electrical Power Distribution, or related field; or equivalent education/work experience complemented by solid computer skills
  • Proven ability to adapt and apply engineering principles to solve technical problems, including complex wiring issues in control logic and feedback circuits and/or programming experience with PLC/PC based data acquisition and control systems
  • Ability to use software tools to configure products
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 85% of time during the work week; travel is rarely on weekends
  • Ability to attain security clearances as required
  • Desire to learn
  • Ability to work outside in various climates
  • Previous experience in field service or utility-related engineering activities a plus
