Title: HVAC Project Coordinator

Reports to: Branch Manager

Compensation:

  • Salary: $55,000-65,000 commensurate with experience

Job purposeTo manage ABCO’s project fulfillment process through thorough communication and coordination, enabling ABCO to act as a consistent resource to customers and engineers throughout the duration of projects.  This will directly contribute to ABCO’s mission of exceeding customer’s highest expectations by:

  • Tracking all projects in the CRM and ensuring that Project Opportunities are complete, and that any missing information or discrepancies are addressed before they become issues
  • Coordinating and communicating with all involved parties to develop submittals that are accurate and meet all project requirements
  • Ensuring that the Project Coordinator, AER Administrator, Technical Support Managers, and other ABCO personnel collaborate to provide necessary support through timely and accurate equipment deliveries, project review meetings, and startup assistance
  • Prepares projects for closing by performing a final review and making sure all activities are complete, documented properly in the CRM, and communicated to both internal and external customers as necessary

Requirements:

  • Experience: at least two years HVAC takeoff, estimating or project management experience
  • Education: Engineering Degree
  • Skills and traits:

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people
    • Computer proficiencies:
      • Microsoft Word and Outlook
      • Database experience; SxE experience a plus

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Quotation Management and Project Fulfillment
    • Receive requests for quotations and prepare responses in an accurate and timely manner
    • Prepare cost estimates by analyzing proposals and project requirements
    • Confer with customers, sales account managers, and/or outside sales engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements for projects
    • Plan and modify product configurations to meet customer needs
    • Generate submittals which include accurate drawings and product data
    • Track assigned AER projects from project conception to completion utilizing ABCO’s CRM software, Tour de Force
    • Recommend improved products or equipment to customers, specifying how such changes will lower costs or increase efficiency
    • Coordinate directly with vendors to ensure product deliveries are scheduled and occur on time
  • AER “Help Desk” and Sales Support
    • Serve as internal AER resource to project stakeholders, including:
      • Customers
      • Sales Account Managers
      • Branch Teams
      • Outside Sales Engineers
    • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements, in order to support and promote the sale of company products, and to provide technical support
    • Provide technical and non-technical support and services to customers, architects, engineers, or ABCO colleagues regarding the use, operation, and maintenance of equipment
