Job Summary

This position is responsible for delivering and picking up product in a timely and efficient manner.  This position is also responsible for working in the yard, store, and/or warehouse when not on deliveries.

• Complete deliveries in a timely and efficient manner.
• Focus on performing deliveries and pickups in a safe manner. Follow all safety procedures.
• Follow all procedures to completely secure loads before leaving on a delivery.
• Perform and record daily equipment inspections as required by D.O.T. standards for pre-trip and post trip.
• Working in the store or warehouse when not delivering.
• Solve customer problems and complaints in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction. Involve management when needed.
• Work closely with all Sales personnel to facilitate a timely and accurate customer order-fulfillment process.
• Assist with unloading/loading trucks when needed. Check in incoming stock off the purchase order.
• Assist with keeping the yard clean, safe, and organized.
• Ensure that all orders are paid for before leaving the yard.
• Complete all other assigned tasks given by management.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• One to two years related experience delivering in the construction supply business.
• Valid Department of Transportation Certified Commercial Driver's License (Class B Minimum) with hazmat endorsement.
• Must have valid State Health Card.
• Must be certified to operate a forklift.
