Casella Construction, Inc. Is seeking a qualified safety conscious CDL Class A  Long Haul Driver to become the newest member of our Transportation division. In this position you will be on the road all week servicing contracts, filling gaps and overflow at many locations around New England and New York. Experience with dump trailer, live floor, tipper trailer preferred. This position pays by the load, pay will be adjusted per run, pick-up and delivery spots.  

Responsibilities:

• Perform pre and post trip inspections
• Communicate daily with dispatcher for assignments
• Act and drive in a professional manner at all times
• Complete daily paperwork (field Log)
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
• Keep a clean working environment

Requirements:

• 1+ years’ experience with long haul driving a commercial vehicle preferred
• Class A CDL
• Must be registered with FMCSA Clearinghouse
• Must have a current DOT medical Card
• Ability to be flexible with schedule- willing to start on Sunday night or early Monday mornings
• Good communication and written skills
• Successfully pass a DOT physical and drug screen
• No serious violations in the last 3 years
