General Plastics is looking for an experienced professional to join our Customer Service team!
The Internal Customer Account Rep. is responsible for providing Customer Service to improve customer satisfaction while adding value to the company. Will serve customers by providing product and service information, resolving product and service questions and resolve any issues.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Develop and maintain strong value and relationships with customers
- Enter Purchase Orders
- Monitor orders in production to ensure customer due date is met
- Answers customer calls and aid in directing them to the correct department
- Assists in updating quotes as necessary
- Works with production on changes necessary to maintain accurate Bill of Materials
- Works with customer's forecast for stocking programs
- Assures forecast stocking requirements are met per customer and company agreements
- Assist customers with daily "hot list", including providing tracking information, date of arrival and/or current status in production
- Implement changes to existing accounts and adapt to changes in customer procedures
- Identify opportunities for improvement and suggest ways to implement
- Other tasks as assigned by management to ensure the realization of company goals
WHAT YOU KNOW:
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and strategies
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and change course as needed with a strong attention to detail and follow up skills
• Extremely detail oriented with the ability to retain important information and analyze information to determine appropriate course of action
• 2+ years of Customer Service experience in a manufacturing environment with experience working within an ERP system. (Experience in Shop Tech E2 a plus)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate in a manner that addresses business value
