WSB is now accepting applications for civil / environmental graduate engineers who will graduate during the 2014 – 2015 school year. We may have opportunities in municipal, transportation, water resources, water / waste water, geotechnical, and other related disciplines.
What You Will Do: You will perform specific design calculations, cost estimates, plan preparation, compile, write, and edit technical reports, letters, memos and specifications on smaller pieces of a project with direction and input from senior staff. You must be able to read and understand plan documents and have a functional understanding of and ability to learn design software packages including the ability to determine and formulate problems, input data, set up and use models, perform calculations, and gather/interpret results.
You may also perform construction observation duties including plan interpretation, record keeping, track quantities and approve pay vouchers. You may have contact with clients, residents, contractors, public agencies, utility companies, etc. in this capacity.
What You Will Bring: The successful candidate will have completed their Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineer, or related field from an accredited engineering school and have passed their FE exam by May 2015. You must possess a valid driver’s license, have a clean driving record, and have the ability to get to various worksite locations. You must have the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and various terrains associated with construction projects. Candidates with prior internships and experience with Civil3D / AutoCADD or MicroStation are preferred.
