This role will focus on payroll and benefit administration which are key processes that give team members comfort and stability throughout their career.

 

 The successful candidate should have following skills/qualifications:

  • Associates degree required; bachelor’s degree or above preferred.
  • 3-5 years of payroll experience in a multi-state environment
  • 2+ years of benefit administration including health, FMLA/ADA experience.
  • FPC or CPP desired
  • Strong computer skills using multiple software programs
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong attention to details

  Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Payroll processing accurately and timely from start to finish including reporting.
  • Maintains HRIS and workflow systems in conjunction with policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining payroll taxes in all jurisdictions.
  • Administers disability, workers’ compensation claims, FMLA and ADA.
  • Responsible for maintaining internal leave policies and Paid Time Off plans.
  • Administer enrollment/changes in benefit programs including health, disability, life, FSA/HSA and retirement plans, etc.
  • Administer 401k plan in conjunction with third party admin.
  • Conducts department audits as it relates to 401k, payroll and benefits.
  • Assist with initiating and maintaining workflows for all documented tasks within the department. Keep work moving to avoid delays and avoid overflow by managing tasks appropriately.
  • Act as a resource for managers, supervisors/team members on policies, procedures/practices including employment law, benefits and daily relations.

 Physical Requirements

  • Sitting:  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
  • Talking:  Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Hearing:   Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and making fine discriminations in sound.
  • Finger, handle, touch:  Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling. Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
  • Lifting Demands: Up to 10 lbs.
  • Visual acuity to do things such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
