Qualified candidates will possess the following:

  • 2-5 years in a material inventory role
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Blueprint, assembly print reading a plus
  • Understanding of manufacturing workflow
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Possess the ability to read and interpret bills of materials
  • Type a minimum of 40 wpm with a high level of accuracy
  • Have working knowledge of Microsoft systems Word/Excel
  • Display excellent written and oral communication skills
  • SAP experience a plus

Orders raw materials as needed by using the history of the part number and sales input.

Gives lead times to sales personnel.

Reviews all sales orders to ensure materials and inventory needed are on-site to fulfill order demand.

Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisors to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material.

Requisitions material and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments, according to job order priorities and material availability.

Examines material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications.

Arranges in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules.

Computes the amount of material required to complete job orders.

Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records such as material inventory, in-process production reports, and status and location of materials.

Moves or transports materials from one department to another.

Arranges for repair and assembly of material or part.

Monitors and controls the movement of materials and parts.

Understands, supports, implements, and sustains 5S program initiatives and goals.

Supports and upholds the quality and EHS policy.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
