We are currently looking for Jr. Designers.  The Jr. Designer training on wall panel and truss designs, Blueprint reading, overall construction knowledge

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Training on Wall panel and Truss Design standards
  • Obtaining SBCA Truss Technician License Level1
  • Assisting Design Team
  • Attending Blueprint Reading classes
  • Jobsite visits
  • Attending 40-80h wall panel plant workshop
  • Attending MiTek University Workshop
  • Attending Weyerhaeuser Load calculation class

Qualifications

  • 0-1 years experience using MiTek Sapphire software.
  • 0-1 years framing or wood framed building experience.
  • Experience with CAD and design software.
  • Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Attention to detail is a must.
  • Stay organized throughout design with all design related information.

Working conditions 

This position is a Monday – Friday full-time position and may require long hours and weekend work in order to meet deadlines and customer needs. Primarily office work, occasional site visits, and travel required. 

Additional Position Details

  • Full-time, non-exempt position.
  • 40 Hours Per week, however, occasional additional hours may be required.
  • Occasional travel required.

Essential Function requirements

Position requires extended periods of sitting, occasional lifting up to 25lbs.
