DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the daily activities of the Logistics Department, to include: vehicle and government furnished property maintenance, supply activities, property accountability, calibration activities, communications transportation operations, information technology services, and purchasing activities. Plan, direct, and report on all logistical functions performed by the BTSS. Develop and administer rigorous property accountability program. Responsible for annual and monthly inventories of all property. Ensure all logistic tasks are accomplished on time and within budget. Review all TARs received from the Government to plan logistics support for each upcoming test. Review all Draft TIPS to plan support for each test. Coordinate the logistical support provided to the government and to BTSS test support teams with the PM, the KO, COR, and the G4, as appropriate. Ensure contract requirements are completed in accordance with Government and BTSS policies. Manages the BTSS Environmental, Program. Approve the hiring of all Logistics employees. Establish a mentoring program, including performance appraisals, for full-time exempt and non-exempt and part-time non-exempt employees in the Logistics Department. Recommend recognition and awards for employees in the Logistics Department. Lead the continuous improvement process activities within the Logistics Department. Prepare and provide briefings to Government officials on activities conducted by the BTSS. Provide the PM a consolidated Logistics Department input for the monthly report and the quarterly briefing. Provide input for the reports required by government contract data requirement lists. Develop and implement a Continuous Process Improvement Plan. Implement and lead the BTSS Quality Management program. Will serve as the PM in his absence. Supervise and oversee the BTSS Buyer. Advises all managers and supervisors on the BTSS Environmental program and policies. Working knowledge of Risk Assessment procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ten years of current and relevant experience required. Minimum of four year’s managerial experience. Prior Government or military experience is desirable.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree desired.
SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:
- US Citizenship is required
- Must possess a Common Access Card/LAN
- Must possess a current Top Secret security clearance
- Valid State driver's license and car insurance for access to military installations and travel
- Eligible for and be able to obtain a U.S. Government motor vehicle operator's permit for assigned class of vehicle
