Mission:

The core mission of the Talent Acquisition Specialist is to ensure that hiring objectives, onboarding and all talent related initiatives move forward efficiently and effectively. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will have responsibility for providing HR services across the WCI organization, and implementing strategies that support business growth, improve candidate experience, and create a robust pipeline to attract and retain top talent for the organization.

The ideal candidate for this role should possess a high work ethic and motivation, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, knowledge of labor and employment regulations and practices, strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, strong organizational skills, and a caring nature. The ideal candidate will need to meet goals and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, as well as demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset and an ability to quickly adapt to changes and new challenges quickly.

Essential Functions:

  • Manages the recruitment process, including but not limited to screening, interview coordination and background checks for a variety of positions
  • Builds and supports a vibrant workplace culture
  • Works with leaders across all functions and departments to assess people needs in all locations, including job specifications, duties, qualifications and skills required
  • Develops and implements sourcing and recruiting strategies and plans to attract top talent in the market
  • Develops and fosters relationships with hiring managers and provide top level customer service
  • Manages candidate experience throughout the process
  • Engaging with area high schools, colleges/universities and organizations to develop a talent pipeline
  • Advises the business on staffing needs
  • Creates brand awareness on social media platforms related to Talent Acquisition initiatives
  • Implements human resources policies
  • Supports strategic objectives
  • Ensures compliance with laws and regulations
  • Provides support to additional HR and People functions with a desire to grow and develop broader HR skills
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business or related area (required)
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP or other certifications (preferred)

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience HR/Talent Acquisition (required)
  • Knowledge and experience with HR best practices, labor and employment laws and regulations and experience with their applicability (required)
  • HRIS knowledge and interest (required)

Physical Requirements:

Constant (67%-100% of work day)

  • Sitting: to assume a position in which the weight is largely supported by the buttocks, usually with the body vertical and the thighs horizontal.

Frequent (34-66% of work day)

  • Talking: expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken work- those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Hearing: perceiving the nature of sounds at normal range; ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make fine discriminations in sound, such as when auscultating and percussing.
  • Repetitive Motion: substantial movements (motion) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Occasional (33% or less of work day)

  • Reaching: extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
  • Using Fingers/Grasping/Feeling: writing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling. Applying pressure to an object with the fingers or palm and perceiving attributes of objects such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touch.
  • Standing: maintaining an upright position.
  • Lifting: raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.
  • Pushing/Pulling: using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward/using upper extremities to exert force in order to drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
  • Climbing: stairs, stools, ramps, ladders.
  • Walking: moving about on foot to accomplish tasks.
  • Bending: bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist and/or bending leg; bending legs at knee to come to rest or kneel.

 Visual Acuity:

  • Ability to read pertinent printed material and distinguish colors.
  • Ability to prepare and read written documentation; use of computer
  • Work requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to accurately read measurements on equipment.
