Wright Tree Service is currently seeking a Forest Technician.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identification, inspection and evaluation of trees and brush along utility lines
  • Submit inspection results to clients
  • Conduct tree and brush inventories
  • Inspect and evaluate hazard trees
  • Understand how long tree work takes
  • Safeguards employees and public from hazards in and around the work area
  • Helps enforce on-the-job safety practices
  • Carries and utilizes materials, tools, and equipment at work site
  • Services truck and equipment. Keeps trucks and other assigned equipment in a neat an orderly fashion. Reports the need for equipment and truck repairs to supervisor
  • Performs other related duties as required or assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree or experience in Forestry, Arboriculture, Horticulture, Biology, Environmental Sciences, Natural Resources, Conservation or related fields
  • One or more years of related experience
  • ISA Certification Preferred
  • Superior species identification skills and invasive species knowledge, plus knowledge of tree growth rates
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in rugged terrain and inclement weather
  • Ability to read and follow maps
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and data collection software (GIS experience a plus)
  • Negative drug screen result(s).
