What’s a typical Machine Operator’s day like with Remke? Check out the variety of responsibilities:
- Operate multi-spindle screw machines:
- Load bar stock
- Inspect parts using gauges, calipers, and other measuring devices to ensure parts conform to Part Drawings and Setup Sheets
- Perform visual inspection
- Change tooling as required
- Remove chips from machine and place in scrap bin
- Ensure machining operation is performed according to all documentation including the Work Order, Setup Sheets, Part Drawings, Machining Process Sheets and Special Instructions (if applicable)
- Inspect machined parts to ensure compliance with Remke Quality standards
- Complete applicable Work Order and Quality documentation and daily production reports as required
- Maintain work area in a clean and neat manner ensuring all tools, fixtures, materials, and other supplies are cleaned and put away at the end of every shift
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on screw machines per schedule
- Train others as assigned
- Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration

- At least 1-3 years’ experience demonstrating basic mechanical skills and ability to operate and adjust multi-spindle screw machines (Wickman preferred)
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Read, speak, and write English
- Basic mathematical skills
- Read and understand all documentation including Work Order, Setup Sheets, Part Drawings, Machining Process Sheets, and Special Instructions
- Able to identify and use all required Quality inspection tools including gauges, calipers, and other fixtures
