Air Conditioning Controls Systems Incorporated (ACCS) is looking for an experienced DDC Controls Application Engineer to join our headquarters in Anaheim, California.

ACCS was founded in 1990 as a full-service HVAC Control System and Building Automation Contracting firm representing Automated Logic Corporation DDC control products.  ACCS performs all phases of the engineering, installation, programming, commissioning and support of every project.  ACCS has been part of the Automated Logic Corporation Southern California Dealer Network since 1992.  During that time, we have successfully installed thousands of control points in over one hundred separate facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

ACCS is expanding its team of service and installation professionals.  We currently seek an experienced DDC Controls Application Engineer to join our team.  This position requires the ability to oversee the complete and accurate preparation of DDC Controls Engineered submittal packages.  Primary emphasis is placed on strong DDC/HVAC/technical skills in order to complete engineering within or under budget while maintaining the high quality standards and customer satisfaction that ACCS is known for.  Applicants must be flexible in their capabilities as to perform the following tasks:

  • Oversee the complete and accurate preparation of DDC Controls Engineered submittal packages including, but not limited to, the following:
    • Detailed control drawings/wiring diagrams
    • Bill-of-Materials
    • Valve Schedules
    • Sequences of Operation
  • Maintain and grow ACCS's customer satisfaction and reputation
  • Learn all software programs utilized in the day-to-day business operations of the company
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years controls experience as a DDC/BAS applications engineer (ALC-Automated Loic system preferred but not required)
  • B.S. Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Ability to generate complete control system submittals utilizin ALC Visio Jobuilder drawing tools.
  • Read and interpret HVAC drawings, control schematics, blueprints, electrical code specifrications, and diagrams.
  • Creatively apply DDC controls technology to meet project requirements/specifications in a cost-effective manner.
  • In-depth knowledge of building HVAC and electrical systems.
  • Must have strong computer sills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Visio.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills -- both internally and with customers (externally)
  • Must be highly organized.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude with a desire to advance in the company.
  • Prompt and self-motivated.
  • Other skills preferred (but not required) include:  AutoCAD capability, knowlede of Automated Logic DDC controls or any DDC control system with object-oriented programming, familiarity with BACnet standards or computer networks/I.T. applications.
