Job Description
The Corporate Compliance Specialist duties and responsibilities include providing support to ensure efficient and compliant operations at GEI Consultants, Inc’s Corporate Headquarters. The Corporate Compliance Specialist will support the legal team, business services managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization, processes, and communication. You will be responsible for confidential, time sensitive material, familiarity with a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures. The Corporate Compliance Specialist should rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals and a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. This position reports to the Legal Department.
General Functions
Maintain compliance for business licenses in various states including the management of Dunn & Bradstreet and renewing professional firm licenses in 48 states and Canada. Maintain corporate distribution lists on both Outlook and the Intranet. Aid in the management and compliance of the various affiliated companies. Update content on the company’s Intranet website via Sharepoint. Maintain electronic filing system and assist with re-organizing PDFs and files. Carry out administrative duties such as filing, printing, copying, scanning, etc. Reply to emails and telephone calls in a timely and efficient manner. Provide general support to the business service team in the corporate office. Other duties as assigned.
Required General and Technical Skills
- Familiarity with Office 365 and SharePoint
- Must demonstrate attention to detail, avid listening skills, patience, and must be target - driven
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures, general IT skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills,
- Excellent writing skills to proofread confidential documents.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-3 years of related professional experience
- Preferred knowledge and experience working in Consulting Industry
- Ability to analyze organizational data and complex problems, interpret and recommend alternative courses of action, and implement strategies to meet deadlines
- Advanced proficiency in standard software applications preferred (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, Revu, TEAMS, PowerPoint, Zoom), specialized business technologies and applications
- Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and highly organized
