Bardi Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc, dba Bardi Mechanical,. was founded in 1989 by Alex and Susan Bardi. In 2001, the residential and commercial clients were separated into separate divisions in order to provide more focused service. Our central focus will always be to obtain customer trust while serving air conditioning, heating, and plumbing needs of the greater Atlanta and Coastal regions.

RESIDENTIAL GENERAL MANAGER POSITION DESCRIPTION
The General Manager is responsible for leading the day to day operations of the residential service department with the goals of delivering world class customer service, maintaining employee satisfaction, ensuring a high level of delivered quality, and driving financial results. This exempt position reports directly to the CEO and will manage Residential HVAC, Plumbing, and Call Center operations including three managers and 15+ employees.
Main duties include:
- Maintain positive relationships with all current customers by being customer-service focused, creating processes to ensure a consistent customer experience, and implementing/monitoring methods to capture customer feedback regarding problem resolution and satisfaction level.
- Lead the residential team to create a positive working environment for employees. Learn departmental processes, tools and measures to be sure they’re being executed well. Create fair standards and hold employees accountable through proper execution of department processes and expectations. Evaluate data and individual performance and coach/train to aid in employee development. Proactively analyze the effectiveness of company procedures to help contribute to company growth & profit and customer/employee satisfaction.
- Lead the residential team by establishing expectations and creating accountability. Assist in the recruitment of personnel, create performance standards to help engage/motivate employees, and identify performance issues for correction. Develop roles, responsibilities, and deploy resources and teams to appropriately execute plans.
- Assist in ensuring the company’s financial growth and profitability by adhering to budgets and allocating resources to meet financial goals. Understand and focus on the key levers required for success (Sales, Efficiency, Customer Retention, Planned Maintenance Agreements, etc). Understand financial statements, and set product and service pricing accordingly.
Qualifications:
· Associate’s Degree
· 10 years of experience in the HVAC Industry (5 years in residential required)
· 5 years of experience in a management role including personnel and P&L responsibility
· Extensive experience with personnel management including recruitment, hiring, retention, motivating, mentoring, evaluation & accountability, training, and problem solving
· Experience driving financial results including a strong understanding of P&L statements, gross profit and revenue growth, and creating/maintaining budgets
· Strong communication skills and a high level of professionalism for interaction with customers, co-workers, and the leadership team
· Computer knowledge including Microsoft Office Suite and internal accounting and dispatch software
· Universal EPA Certification
· Ability to travel within the Atlanta area (position is based in office & field)
· Candidate must be well-groomed, drug free, and possess a clean background and MVR
