What You Will Do:

• Provides services in accordance with Alabama Department of Public Health rules and regulations for Assisted Living and Specialty Care Assisted Living.
• Participates in pre-admissions assessments for potential residents.
• Participates in all staff development programs to expand and develop abilities. 
• Maintains compliance to all personnel policies, established community policies and procedures.
• Understands and implements the Fire Safety and Disaster Preparedness Plan and evacuation procedures of the community during drills and emergencies.
• Performs admission, monthly, and periodic reviews on residents for functional and mental abilities.
• Dependable and able to meet schedule requirements (attendance and punctuality) with no restrictions.
• Reviews/revises assessments and care plans at admission, periodically per regulation, and at change in resident physical or psychosocial condition. 
• Assists residents in scheduling medical, dental and laboratory appointments.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• The position reports to the Executive Director and is expected to perform independently and exercise good judgment. The position supervises, directs, and reviews the work of other employees, conducts performance appraisals, and takes disciplinary action including and up to termination.

Why You Are Qualified:
The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Must have a Category II Assisted Living License.
• Combination of education and/or experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university, with major work in related field. 
• At least 2 years of progressively responsible work experience in the long-term care industry or related field.
• RN license in Alabama. 
• On a daily basis, throughout the workday: Must be capable of sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, reaching, turning, bending, stooping, crouching and kneeling, reaching over the head, grasping with both hands, and fine manipulation. Must physically be able to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted.  Must physically be able to carry, transfer, push and pull, and reposition residents with assistance or using appropriate equipment
