We’re seeking an innovative environmental professional to join our team and assist with a growing workload that is centered in delivering creative environmental solutions to our Wisconsin and national clients. On any given day, you’ll:
- Manage clients and lead business development to grow our private, municipal, or government services. Success will be defined by the ability to generate work opportunities and manage these projects.
- Assist our clients in pursing funding and in implementation of services directly related to development of environmentally impaired and/or underutilized commercial and industrial properties.
- Project management duties for environmental consulting could include preparing plans, permits or reports for a variety of projects related to environmental remediation, redevelopment, or compliance (Wisconsin and Federal Environmental programs).
- Help clients manage their businesses by performing due diligence assessments regarding acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, property sales, and leases.
- Work with professional and technical staff on our environmental team to develop project deliverables on brownfield redevelopment projects across the nation.
- Establish target markets/clients with management and other compliance team members to develop a program to establish relationships and build workload.
- Contact clients, attend meetings, assist in project and client intelligence and strategies, and participate in trade show and client-related activities.
- Provide technical guidance on environmental projects, including on-site assistance as needed, prepare project proposals, attend project interviews, participate in presentations, negotiating hourly estimates, fee proposals, and contract documents.
- Schedule and monitor project work to ensure successful completion and positive financial performance of each deliverable.
- Collaborate freely and frequently with our talented staff across our firm including Urban Planners, Economic Development Specialists, Landscape Architects, Environmental Engineers, and Water Resource Engineers during redevelopment of our brownfield project sites nationwide.
- Work with project teams to effectively delegate assignments, and mentor the next generation of environmental leaders.
Required Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in environmental or geological engineering, or geology/hydrogeology.
- A minimum of 10-15 years of relevant environmental consulting experience and at least eight years of project management experience.
- Wisconsin professional certification licensure in engineering or geology.
- Project experience in multiple environmental areas, including but not limited to:
- Brownfield Environmental Site Assessments, Investigations, and Remediation
- Aquifer analysis, Including Contamination Fate and Transport
- Environmental Grant Writing or Administration
- PFOS/PFOA investigations and remedial action
- Contacts with existing or previous private clients, client development capabilities, and registration in an applicable professional discipline, with a demonstrated track record of bringing in project work.
- Willingness to travel (some overnight stays) in and out of state.
- A valid driver’s license and good driving record.

- Be able to work across multiple offices while managing multiple projects and project teams of professional staff
