IES Commercial, Inc. - Commercial & Industrial Division, seeking full-time Journeyman Electrician for Instrumentation & Electrical Technician work in the Carlsbad, New Mexico area.
Job Summary
- Works under general direction of job foreman and other project supervisors.
- Testing and trouble shooting electric motors, and transmitters.
- Performs all facets of electrical installation.
- Programming and troubleshooting PLCs, communication devices such as radios and switches, UPS systems and devices.
- Works from all type of ladders.
- Completes other duties as directed.
- Complies with all company and customer safety policies and procedures.
- Travel may be required.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license for the State of New Mexico OR degree for Instrumentation & Electrical Technician.
- 5 years’ recent experience as Journeyman Electrician working with instrumentation and electronics preferred.
- Ability to read schematics, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, one-line diagrams, logic flow diagrams, etc.
- OSHA 10 or ability to obtain.
- Ability to read/write/spell/compute basic math.
- Ability to work in special environments or special shift hours/mandatory OT.
- Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.
- Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check when applicable per customer contract requirement.
