Position Summary

The Skytrack Operator is responsible for inspection, set up and safe operation of SkyTrack on various construction sites. This position is deemed ‘safety sensitive’ due to the fact that a person improperly performing the essential or marginal functions of the job would constitute a threat to the health or safety of the employee, the employee’s co-workers, and/or the public at large.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operates diesel, gasoline or electric-powered rubber tire SkyTrack to lift and move material and objects.
• Pick up recycled material at various locations on the job site.
• Drives around jobsite and properly set up for lifts.
• Ensure safe rigging practices for all loads prior to lifting.
• Responsible for the daily general maintenance and up-keep of equipment deemed necessary by the Foreman.
• The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.

Qualifications

High School education or equivalent is preferred.  Minimum of two years’ experience as a SkyTrack Operator on a construction site is required.  Ability to maintain equipment is required.  Operators must be job certified in order to operate any equipment for Lexicon, Inc. and have a valid driver’s license.

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift in excess of 85 lbs. often on the job.  Requires bending, stooping, lifting and carrying.  Also requires pushing and pulling from the waist.  Overtime and weekend work required as needed. Must be able to climb up to 150 ft. occasionally. All of the physical demands listed are essential functions.
