Eastern States Construction Service, Inc. is currently seeking a Full Charge/Senior Accountant to join the highly talented Accounting team to help contribute to the success of the organization.
The Full Charge/Senior Accountant is a hands-on position and responsible to:
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to book of accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
- Analyze daily banking transactions and journal entries.
- Assist with processing and review of weekly payroll and related payroll tax filings.
- Analyze daily banking transactions and journal entries.
- Reconcile sub-ledger accounts.
- Verify and reconcile contracts, orders and vouchers; prepare reports to substantiate transactions.
- Review the preparation of Time & Material and AIA invoices.
- Review, investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports.
- Assist with collection efforts.
- Monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Prepare analysis of accounts as requested.
- Work with accounting team to continually improve efficiency of department.
- Assist with year-end closing.
- Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
